KSA organizes cricket matches between schools, colleges and open clubs with the consent from Kolhapur District Cricket Association. Also cricket coaching for fewer than 19 players is provided by KSA throughout the year on ChhatrapatiShahu Stadium.

In 1972-73, a match between Maharashtra and Mumbai was held at ChhatrapatiShahu Stadium. The players and state officials were impressed by the overall planning and arrangements made during the match. This helped in arrangement of Shri Pauli Umrigar Beneficiary Match at the same venue. This ground has been home ground for many famous cricket players.
